- First
on the list: PROTECT
YOUR COMPUTER.
Make
sure to download software that will detect viruses, adware, and
spyware. I suggest Ad-Aware
and SpyBot
for adware/spyware. For viruses, AVG-Anti-Virus
provides
great protection. Sygate
or Zone
Alarm are
good free
firewalls. ZDNet
has a long list of great downloads in several categories.
- You
will need
multiple email accounts.
Since most Internet Service Providers (ISPs) offer multiple accounts,
check with them first. Some free email services do not work
well because they tend to label the majority of messages as spam and
block them. Also, some programs will not accept AOL email
addresses due to bouncing messages.
- Use
Roboform
to save your login names and passwords. It saves TONS of
time. This is the free trial version. You can save
information on
up to 10 sites.
- Sign
up with an online payment processor. PayPal
is a
quick, easy, and free way to send and receive money. For PTR,
also sign up with e-gold
or StormPay.
All are safe but you must protect your passwords. Always go directly
to the site to open your account information. Do not open
from
links found in email messages. There are other payment
processors
out there so check around.
- Use
a multi-tabbed browser. Opening MULTIPLE pages in your
browser
increases your efficiency tremendously. I use Mozilla
Firefox
the
most but there are others (Avant
Browser
or Netscape
Navigator). Make sure
to adjust the pop-up blockers on
your browser to make your surfing experience easier.
- Before
joining a program, read
the Terms of
Service. Some sites
have different terms than
others. This
avoids later confusion.
- Sign
up with as many programs as you feel
comfortable. Make sure to fill in information completely
and
accurately.
- Check
certain survey sites often. Some post open
opportunities.
- Adjust
SPAM
settings accordingly. Don't miss out on ANY opportunities to
get
paid!
- Check
those inboxes frequently. Once again, you
don't want to miss out.
- When
you join paid-to-read programs, be careful not
to check the cheat boxes on
the sign up page (I AM A CHEATER, I DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH). You
will be deleted.
- Also,
if you are not from a search country, DON'T
check the
search box. You will be deleted.
- When
you get a PTR email, read the email
ad. Be careful not
to click a
CHEAT link.
- Check
certain PTR sites often. Some sites have
extensive onsite paid-to-click pages for you to pick up more cash and
points.
- Be
honest. Provide accurate information and be
patient. Opportunities will come.
- Tell
you family and friends. Spread the word
about the FREE
opportunities on this site and on yours.
- Build
and promote your own site(s). You will
find loads of
information here
on
the best FREE ways to market your site.
